Off to Houston

After hours of assembly, testing and running around town to find special parts, the team is ready to get ZOIDBERG to Houston for test week.

We are very proud of our fabrication team and all of the hard work and long nights they put in to making ZOIDBERG a reality. It’s exciting to see our team’s design go from the drawing board to being a reality. We also want to send a huge thanks to those working in the Boise State COEN Student Machine Shop for putting up with out long hours and providing their fullest support!

We couldn't have done it without you Brent!

The team has also been preparing for a formal presentation to NASA in what is known as the Test Readiness Review.

And now that test week is here, Camille Eddy, Scott Warren, Eli Andersen, John Cashin, Colton Colbert, Jacob Davlin and faculty members Dr. John Gardner, Lynn Catlin, Kathleen Tuck and Dr. Barbara Morgan will spend May 30 to June 4 in Houston at the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory testing the team’s tool design.

Jacob Davlin holds the nearly fully assembled ZOIDBERG.

In addition to seeing how well ZOIDBERG performs in the pool the team is looking forward to meeting the other 17 teams involved with Micro-G NExT.

Our next update will be on the team’s time in Houston. Wish us luck!
